The past few years we haven't done anything special to celebrate the holidays. We just celebrate with the immediate family, maybe that's why it doesn't seem so special. If we had a big family gathering that might be a different story. It just seemed like any other day. Oh well... I can't remember a specific moment where I stopped believing, I think I never quite bought into it. Christmas at my house has never been magical. Sometimes we don't even have Christmas dinner because three out of the five of us are vegetarians, so it's not all that special for us veggies who just have to eat sprouts, burnt potatoes and icky yorkie puddings. Still, presents are worth it. My parents simply ask us what we would like and they buy it us, so there isn't that much surprise on Christmas day. My only "Surprise" this year was a printer. I put it down to troubles in the family but it could of course be something to do with me getting old. I hope not.. Anyway, Merry Christmas. :) I must honestly say, I'm glad that tomorrow is a holiday - for once the debt collectors WON'T be calling!
